Interpreting

·        I am a qualified ITI Arabic / English Interpreter. I am also on the National Register of Public Service Interpreters (NRPSI) and a member of the Association of Police and Court Interpreters (APCI).

·        As my late father was Egyptian and my late mother was English, I learnt both Arabic and English from a very early age, thus my wealth of terminology and knowledge of both cultures helps me a great deal as an interpreter.

·        In view of the above, I have been interpreting unofficially for a long time indeed. However, Since 1976 I have been interpreting professionally both in the UK and the Middle East. Different dialects have not posed a problem.

·Before undertaking an Arabic interpreting assignment, it would be preferable, whenever possible to know the subject beforehand. However, Most of my interpreting work covers: Police and Court work, Social Services and Business interviews.

·        Consecutive Interpreting is offered for, Corporate Businesses, Local Authorities and Private Individuals.

·Interpreting is usually conducted on the client’s premises, but also in exhibitions and public venues. Telephone interpreting is also undertaken.
